The French brought turquoise to the West for trade from Turkey. These incredibly high quality stones actually came from Persia (Iran). It was named ‘turkey stone’ or turquoise in French. Persian turquoise is still the standard by which all other turquoise is measured.

MINI GALLERY NIGHT JUNE 21st
